3. Package

The headphones are supplied with a massive comfortable stand, a Jabra Link 370 USB dongle for use with computers, and a micro-USB cable. The stand and headphones are quite corporate looking, which suits the environment in which Jabra Evolve 75 should be used. You can simultaneously use the headphones with office programs and with your phone, listen to music and receive calls from all connected devices. The updates are made via the headphone software using Windows software (Jabra Direct) or macOS (Suite).

4. Design & Ergonomy

The design of Jabra Evolve 75 is strict and pragmatic – you can see that the headset is designed for the corporate segment, so there are no visual excesses. The headphones have in their construction a metal plate, a soft rubber headband on the top, and round, plastic earcups.

There are more than enough small pleasant features: the microphone leg folds, at the tip, there is a metal plate with perforation. And the leg is magnetized to the headband pad with a characteristic click, very cool. And more about the bow: when it becomes magnetized, the sound is muted and vice versa.

The design is classic: plastic, round cups, rubber-trimmed headband, and without sensors, so we control the headset with buttons, almost all placed on the right cup. Jabra Evolve 75 is compact and lightweight. They fit perfectly on your head, do not press, adjust quickly, and can be used all day. However, the design has a downside. The headphones are not the best if you actively move around. Over time, they fall down. Their design isn’t the sturdiest, so they might break after 1-2 years if they are not properly taken care of.

The flexible microphone is medium-length and does not interfere with the conversation. It rises up quickly and magnetizes to the special plate on the side of the headband with a distinctive click. When the microphone boom is raised, it merges with the headband. It’s not noticeable anymore. The microphone on the right cup might be inconvenient for some, as most headphones house the microphone leg on the left earcup. Nonetheless, that depends on your preference and cannot be viewed as a major issue. In general, you intuitively instantly understand how to work with the device.

The most important thing: from the first moment, you notice that the headphones fit simply perfectly – nothing presses anywhere, does not rub; the headband’s size is easily adjustable. The ear cushions are covered with eco-leather; they do not completely cover the ears. They’re removable; as such, they can be replaced whenever. Another plus is the ability to use the Jabra Evolve 75 while charging. It can be seen that someone took care of this, nice. Charging time is about three hours, it all depends on the method: with or without a power supply.

The control buttons are intuitive. All elements of the headset are thought out in such a way as to achieve maximum design ergonomics. The volume keys have been placed on the right cup. The volume level is raised and lowered with one touch, without interrupting the conversation. Meanwhile, on the bottom of the left earcup is a button that activates the noise canceling function. The right earcup has a multi-functional button that performs three tasks: on, off, Bluetooth. The LEDs allow you to track the activity of the modes.

Two light ring indicators, one on each earcup, turn on automatically if you talk on your smartphone or voice communication to warn people that you are having a conversation. It does not matter whether the conversation goes through Skype or ordinary calls via a phone or Facebook messenger.

5. Bluetooth & Technology

The promised autonomy is 18 hours and comes very close to reality. The Jabra Evolve 75 charges for two hours without using the power supply and can work while charging. The headset can connect to devices that do not have Bluetooth via a USB receiver that has been included in the package. It works reliably with most devices, TVs, PC, PS4.

A connection is made very fast; you’re only required to insert a mini-flash drive into the device and turn on headsets. Jabra Evolve 75 can connect to two gadgets simultaneously: laptop and smartphone, tablet and PC, console and laptop, and any combination of the two. If at work, then connected to a working laptop or PC and a smartphone. If anyone calls you on your phone, answering the phone call will immediately stop the music playback.

When Bluetooth is turned on, a female voice announces the remaining runtime. It claims 15 hours of talk time and 30 hours of listening to music with the noise-canceling system turned on. Excellent results, headsets of this form factor usually have much less battery life.

In terms of signal coverage, Jabra assures us with up to 30 meters, which is a roughly true range. Inside a building, no signal failures were experienced, even through thick supporting walls.

6. Noise Canceling

At the bottom of the left cup, there is an ANC button that enables active noise reduction. The headphones cut off the ambient noise to a high degree, even more when music is being played at high volume. The conversations of co-workers disappear. And if you want to hear them, you should press the round button on the left earpiece – it mutes the sounds and allows you to hear the environment.

To activate the noise-canceling function, there is an on and off button. In the office, you won’t notice much difference. With ANC turned on, a substantial difference can be noticed. When listening to your music, people talking and noises made by certain devices will be slightly masked depending on how high the volume is.

There is practically no passive noise isolation. When music is playing, one can hear keyboard clicks. At first, this might seem useless, but being able to hear around your perfectly is a feature. Regardless, the Jabra Evolve 75 has an active noise cancellation system that can be used when necessary.

Noise cancellation in the microphone is also almost perfect. Even with a few people shouting and talking loudly near you, your interlocutor will only hear you. I would say Jabra Evolve 75’s microphone is quite impressive and has nothing worth criticizing. Except for the fact that, due to the suppression of surrounding noises, your voice will change, too. It becomes much deeper and quieter than the desired level, so we have to speak louder.

7. Sound Quality

The headphones have excellent 40mm drivers. With them, Jabra Evolve 75 beautifully reproduces voices for listening to customers and melodic musical notes for listening to music. Everything is perfect for the conversations: The microphone almost reaches the mouth, plus you don’t need to raise the voice. The people you talk to will hear you clearly, whereas hearing them speaking, it’s just as if the person is right next to you. This aspect alone is crucial and provides the Evolve 75 with a huge edge in the office.

With music, everything is in the same format: a large supply of volume, good detail, and also a bit of bass. The headset is intended for customer service specialists. Yet, they’re amazing to enjoy music, too. The headset is versatile and music-friendly. Had you not know that these headsets cost approximately $300, you’d say they’re way expensive than that.

8. Conclusion

Jabra Evolve 75 has a best-in-class microphone and costs around $300. The whole package is also fantastic made, consists of the Jabra Evolve 75 UC stereo headphones, a charging stand, and a Link 370 USB adapter.

Jabra Evolve 75 is highly appreciated for its value not only by us but also by numerous other reviewers and customers as an excellent and reliable headphone. It is a reliable headset for business: excellent speech quality, comfortable fit, long operating time, everything is great with control. You can watch an episode of a TV series or listen to a podcast and enjoy it as these headphones are not limited to office use.

And best of all, the headphones they’re heavenly comfortable. After all, they’re designed to suit heavy use in the office, 8 hours a day or more. That’s probably the most respectable aspect of Jabra Evolve 75, especially for somebody looking for comfortable on-ear headphones.
