While the headphones deliver consistent audio performance, the noise cancellation might not compare to Sony’s WH-1000XM3 or Bose 700. 2. JBL Everest Elite 750 NC Review
Everest Elite 750NC’ exterior design is obviously more refined and elegant than ever. Although made of the same plastic material, it is enhanced by a special coating finish to achieve a metallic finish. In terms of autonomy, the JBL Everest Elite 750 NC Bluetooth headset can play continuously for up to 15 hours with noise cancellation turned on, and up to 20 hours with noise cancellation turned off. JBL’s noise canceling system is called Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, which uses an on-board microphone to control the amount of external ambient noise, consistently and accurately finding and blocking external noise similar to most traditional noise cancellation headphones. Admittedly, the sound quality of the JBL Everest Elite 750NC is superb, favoring the lower frequencies overall.

JBL Everest Elite 750 NC packaging box can be regarded as simple and elegant, displaying plenty of information on the side. Once you open the package, you’ll see the headphones placed inside a slightly smaller case than the previous generation and are packed with a detachable remote cable, charging cable, carrying case, flight adapter, and the usual paperwork: warranty card and instructions.

JBL Everest Elite 750 NC ear cups can swivel up to 90-degrees. The headphones have the advantage of being foldable, which results in less space being taken when carried around.
The headphones’ exterior design is obviously more refined and elegant than ever. The headphones in question are sadly made of the same plastic material, though enhanced by a special coating finish to achieve a metallic finish.
First of all, the headband is wrapped in a soft synthetic leather covering the top, which provides a comfortable, secure fit for the head. Next up, both sides of the earcups feature memory foam ear cushions that conform to an ergonomically shaped design.
The soft leather material allows for better coverage of the ears, preventing any sensation of discomfort or pressure on the ears, therefore offering a pleasant wearing experience.
On the right ear cups are control buttons responsible for the music management and the activation of a few features: control play/pause music, volume level, Bluetooth power switch, and noise reduction buttons (Ambient Awareness level, and enable TruNote auto sound calibration), and of course, the USB charging port. The left earcup only includes a 3.5mm headphone jack connector.

Considering that the JBL Everest Elite 750 headphones are rather high-end, it’s unfortunate that Bluetooth transmission does not support aptX encoding after all, so when you listen to music with Bluetooth, wirelessly, the sound detail and definition will be affected. Still, the overall sound quality remains absolutely satisfactory, especially when headphones are paired via wires.
In terms of autonomy, the JBL Everest Elite 750 NC Bluetooth headset can play continuously for up to 15 hours with noise cancellation turned on, and up to 20 hours with noise cancellation turned off. Alternatively, the user can use the 3.5mm headphone cable to connect the headphones as a regular wired headset.
My JBL Headphones application provides three EQ presets, Jazz, Vocal and Bass, and if you don’t enjoy them, you can customize the sound the way you want using the custom option.
The ambient-awareness function lets you hear outside sounds at different levels; for example, if someone is talking in your left ear, you can clearly hear what they say.
The technology combined with this app allows for easy noise-cancellation control. And with each person’s unique morphology, JBL’s TruNote auto-calibration technology changes the frequency response of the ELITE 750NC to attune to your ear canal’s shape.

For more intuitive user experience, the noise-reduction application can also be managed through an app called My JBL Headphones, which is available as a free download on both iOS and Android devices.
The noise-canceling headphones from JBL Everest Elite 750 allow you to adjust the Ambient Awareness level by using the “My JBL Headphones” app installed on your phone or tapping the function buttons on the headphones. This feature is similar to Jabra’s “HearThrough” and uses the microphone on the headphones to pick up ambient sound and hear outside sounds when wearing the headphones, while still playing your music.
In our tests, the headphones have been extremely impressive, but what impressed us the most was the powerful smart noise-canceling system that adapts based on the environment.

The Everest Elite 750NC’s 40 mm drivers reproduce a broad frequency response between 10Hz and 22kHz, which is out of human hearing range at both ends of the audio spectrum.
The sound gamut is vast, which, coupled with powerful lower frequencies, makes listening to pop and rock music feel very powerful and explosive, creating a very pleasing listening experience when listening to music and watching movies.
While the bass is strong, it is not so strong that it affects the mid-range instruments and human voices, the mids and trebles can be clearly noticed.
Admittedly, the sound quality of the JBL Everest Elite 750NC is superb, favoring the lower frequencies overall. Naturally, the Bass EQ can also be adjusted by the user in the application. Thankfully, the JBL Everest Elite 750NC’s EQ enhances some of the mids and highs to make the sound powerful.
Adaptive noise cancellation works well with the JBL Everest Elite 750NC, and although you will still hear a slight hiss when it is activated, you will still be able to enjoy the music and the diminished ambient sounds.
Moreover, the JBL Everest Elite 750NC also features Ambient Aware, a convenient feature that increases awareness and allows you to listen to music and other people’s voices simultaneously without any distractions.

The design of these JBL headphones is slightly inconvenient and lacks a user-friendly interface as most of the time, you’ll press the wrong button, and it’s quite a hassle to navigate among the many buttons the right earcup houses.
Nevertheless, JBL’s Everest Elite 750NC leading noise-canceling headphone remains an excellent headphone in terms of wearing experience, portability, noise cancellation, and even sound quality. The headphones’ weight reduced from 305g to 280g grants the headphones a lighter construction making them lightly more comfortable during long sessions of wearing.
