Upon opening the box, one can see that the headphones are beautifully packaged. Different from many low-end headphones that come in a plastic box or density sponge packaging, the Plantronics BackBeat GO 410 in-ears appear to be well-polished and elegant, making the first impression very favorable. Besides the usual instruction manual and charging cable, the BackBeat GO 410 also comes with a white storage pouch, showing a great deal of care. In fact, the details of the accessories tend to reflect a product’s quality more clearly. The other accessory, the pouch, sports a white mesh design that looks stylish and athletic, while the red closure, in particular, results in a beautiful finish
The USB charging cable is not ordinary, including a couple of connectors, a 4-pin 3.5 mm headphone connector, and an adapter. The cable can charge the Bluetooth headphones, or connect the headphones to the source via the 3.5 mm plug to use them through wires.

Offered in grey or ash color, Plantronics BackBeat Go 410 has a collar-style design at the neck base, which extends from the base to each ear with a cable connection that ends with the right and left earpiece. On the right side, there is an embedded remote control and microphone. The integrated remote features three buttons – multi-function controls manage playback, power, and pairing, including call management and the activation of Siri or Google Assistant, depending on how long you hold the key. Meanwhile, to keep the headphones together and avoid untangling, the headphones’ rear panel is magnetically fastened together and helps with their packing into the supplied carrying case.
The earpieces are comfortable, though not very tight. On the other hand, the headphones don’t fall out of your ears when doing any sort of physical activity, despite their grip. Passive noise reduction might still pose a problem since the headphones don’t seal your ears completely and firmly.
The quality of workmanship of the BackBeat GO 410 is quite satisfactory, similarly as the built-in hands-free kit, which ensures good calling quality.

Plantronics BackBeat GO 410 uses Bluetooth 5.0 design, making it more power-efficient per se, while the large batteries located at the sides assure about 8 hours of continuous music listening on a full charge, or 4 more hours of battery life if active noise cancellation is turned off. After the battery empties, the neckband sport headphones require only 2 hours to charge completely.
The magnetic system of the BackBeat GO 410 is unlike conventional magnetic headphones, as it has a sensor in it. By removing the two headphones and attaching the two together when the BackBeat GO 410 headphones are on, the headphones automatically turn off the active noise cancellation effect to save power, and then automatically turn on when the two headphones separate.
The BackBeat GO 410 neckband Bluetooth headphones have an autonomy of 10 hours without the noise canceling feature activated. If you turn it on, the headphones can run for approximately six or seven hours. Overall, you can enjoy enough playtime. If that’s not enough, the headphones can be connected with a cable and play music in wired mode.

For a pair of noise-canceling neckband headphones under $100, the active noise cancellation is also very good, particularly blocking the sounds of vehicles such as cars, trains, and planes, making it easy to get a quiet listening environment. But if you enable active noise cancellation in quiet surroundings, unlike Sony WF-1000XM3, you will notice a slight underlying noise as with most noise-canceling headphones. Overall, noise reduction within the bottom range of the spectrum, mostly lower frequencies, is effective. However, the filtering on the entire spectrum of frequencies isn’t as broad as other headphones. The sound of people speaking at a coffee break isn’t adequately diminished; thus, you can still hear children screaming or high-frequency noises.

For sound quality, not much is usually demanded from headphones in the $100 price range, especially ones with a noise-reduction system, yet these do feel a little better than we had hoped. Although they don’t support aptX codec, the audio quality is better than other Plantronics models, such as the Backbeat Sense.
Inside, the headset utilizes 10mm drivers to provide a frequency range of 20Hz to 20KHz. The BackBeat GO 410 has a clean, balanced sound and can get a more real and outstanding sound experience with active noise cancellation. On the whole, in terms of sound quality, BackBeat GO 410 displays the same effect that should be expected from the mid-priced Bluetooth headset.
