As you unbox the package of Avantree Audition Pro, you’ll find inside a carrying case, Micro USB charging cable, a 3.5 mm audio cable, and a user manual. You can use the headset in wired mode by plugging in the 3.5mm line input and enjoy the crisp sound.

The Avantree Audition and Audition Pro headphones are available in black and brown and black and black and red, respectively. Both models are made of durable, reinforced metal.

With a matte black color, Avantree Audition Pro focuses on discretion and elegance. Once in the hands, the pleasant lightness of the headset is felt. The soft leather covering feels good in the hand but also on our ears. This wireless headset’s headband is also covered in leather. The Pro version is a bit more expensive than the standard Audition version, but as a reward, users get a better-padded headband, which adds to your comfort during extended wear.

Avantree Audition Pro has an adjustable headband and soft protein leather ear cushions for optimal comfort. The headset becomes adjustable thanks to the two forks located above the headphones. The adjustment system’s mechanism may annoy some but is a solution of precision and, therefore, personalized comfort.

The different functions are grouped together on the right earpiece. First of all, there are the basics: the buttons to adjust the volume, accept calls, and play/pause music. In addition, there is also the Jack port and the Micro USB port on this earphone. The controls are easy to access, and the headphones are lightweight and suitable for extended use. Also, the headset is foldable and easy to carry.

The controls are all concentrated on the left earcup, as in the standard version of Avantree Audition, but in Pro, for some unknown reason, the control scheme has been changed – the volume is adjusted by short presses on the buttons, and the tracks are switched by holding the button. In this case, the next track is turned on by holding the “minus” button. A strange scheme, the previous one is much more convenient.

Avantree presents features 4.1 Bluetooth version with aptX LL technology, it allows an ideal low latency of 40ms, without cuts or interruptions over 10m. If you want to fully immerse yourself in a world of music, and disconnect yourself from wires, poor wireless connectivity, and enjoy music, this headset is for you.

Autonomy

When it comes to autonomy, Avantree Audition Pro boasts with 40 hours of playtime in wireless mode. The headset can get you 40 hours of wireless use, while most of its competitors in this price category have a battery life of up to 30 hours. That’s quite an accomplishment if you ask me. Furthermore, you can use the included 3.5mm cable to switch to a wired connection and watch TV or use your phone without draining the battery. Go from a wireless headset to a wired headset in seconds.

Latency

What sets the Avantree Audition Pro apart from the rest is the extremely low latency thanks to aptX Bluetooth codec’s support. As can be seen from the box, the headset offers incredibly low latency compared to its rivals. AptX Low Latency Codec technology minimizes lag. If you felt the irritating delay between the movements of the lips of the person talking in the movie and the sound you hear, then you understand the importance of low-latency wireless communication. With the Audition Pro, this problem does not exist. These premium wireless Bluetooth headphones work with any low latency aptX compatible Bluetooth transmitter (Avantree Oasis or Priva III recommended) for a minimum audio delay of 32-40ms for a lag-free audio experience. (If your TV does not have Bluetooth, you will need a separate transmitter to plug it in. Avantree transmitters are recommended).

Connections

Another surprising element of the Audition Pro is NFC technology (Near Field Communication). In short, NFC lets you connect the headset to a Bluetooth enabled device in seconds. You can connect two devices simultaneously and share the listening experience with a friend.

With Avantree Audition Pro, Bluetooth connectivity goes a long way; however, if you want to connect the headset to your PS4 or Xbox One, you have to go for the wired connection. If you don’t have a smart TV with Bluetooth capability, you can simply plug the headphones into the standard headphone jack on your TV.

The sound quality is at its best on this Avantree wireless headset. As it’s equipped with aptX technology, sound rendering is more precise, thus offering superior sound quality.

For the sound itself, we find an overall warm sound. The bass is present and offers depth to the sound; however, it seems too dense and deteriorates the sound’s quality. On the other hand, the mids are perfectly mastered, as are the highs. More generally, we are dealing with a warm and precise sound that can be best enjoyed while watching movies, hearing the actors speak, and the dramatic cinematic background music playing.

To conclude, we are faced with a wireless headphone of fantastic quality for its price. The sound lives up to our expectations, and its connectivity allows this headset to perform wonderfully in various situations where most wireless headphones struggle.

Avantree Audion Pro headphones become a discovery for us, and we’re pleased with the high-quality workmanship and excellent sound performance. The reviewed headphones are certainly not cheap for just headphones, even if they have excellent sound. But, in the context of their wireless aptitudes, very long battery life, and support for AptX Low Latency, the price tag looks different. If you want to watch TV and movies wirelessly, I advise you to take a closer look. The latency between sound and image will be very low (<60 ms) since Avantree Audition Pro benefits from AptX Low Latency. All you’ll need is a wireless adapter that supports aptX LL.

The Avantree Audition Pro isn’t the best headphone money can buy. It’s just one of the best headphones in its specific price category. Bluetooth Pairing is straightforward, and the headphones themselves are lighter than most wireless devices. Besides, they’re affordable, too.
